The Whitby Bowling Club has a large clubhouse with bar facilities, a modern well equipped kitchen, pool table, dart board, indoor bowling mats and plenty of space for various activities. The club rooms are used regularly by club members, the community and commercial enterprises for functions and casual use.

Venue Hire

  • Hall Hire - $45 (+ GST) per hour or part thereof. Minimum Charge $90 (+ GST).

  • If the Bar Facility is required the following charges apply: 

  •          

    •  Special licence and Bar Staff for 30 persons or more $200      

  • ​

    • ​Special licence and Bar Staff for less than 30 persons $150

  • Please note the Club does not hire out its premises for 18th - 21st birthday celebrations.

  • Only persons bowling are allowed on the green.

  • A $100 (+ GST) deposit is non refundable if the hire is cancelled.

  • Any damage to the venue will be charged to the hirer.

  • You will be contacted by the club official responsible for Clubroom Hire, who will confirm the availability of the venue on the date requested.

  • Hire charges are shown in the section above.

  • Under the club’s liquor license, no alcohol may be brought into the premises. This also includes non-alcoholic beverages. Purchased alcohol cannot be taken from the venue

  • Alcohol may not be consumed outside of the permitted alcohol area boundary

  • Patrons must comply with the Sale and Supply of Liquor Act 2012 in regard to underage drinking and intoxication.

  • The hirer is responsible for the orderly conduct of guests during the period of hire, including leaving the premises at the end of the function.

  • Serious infringements may result in the closure of the bar at any time during period of hire and at the sole discretion of the Bar Manager on duty.

  • The bar will close as stated on the bar licence usually 30 minutes prior to the end of the function.

  • A minimum of 5 weeks notice is required to obtain a Special Alcohol Licence.

  • Note you will be required to supply a food menu for the Special Alcohol Licence application
